The Most Popular Bbile Version: ME

“The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians, who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, and walk out the door, and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable!” (dc Talk).
There is a world full of unbelievers out there and it is likely that they will not have the opportunity or the desire to open up a Bible and read about Jesus. They won’t read about the redeeming blood of a savior who died for their sins and mistakes 1900 years before they even made them. Nor will they read about how that man was God in the flesh. They will have no idea about the miraculous things that He did and the incredibly bold, deep, and provocative things that He said. They will not know the price that He paid or the love that He showed. They won’t know.
If, by chance, they do have the opportunity to be introduced to this Jesus they will categorize Him with the likes of Buddha, Vishnu, Muhammad, and the Virgin Mary. They will add the Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles to the extensive mythology that went before. “Let there be light” will be equated with Prometheus stealing fire from the gods. The journeys and trials of Paul will be compared with those of Odysseus and Ulysses.
Make the decision today to be a witness to His love and His power. Choose to show His love every opportunity that comes. Many of the people around us have no clue as to what being a Christian is about, we must show them through our words and our actions. We can’t just throw a Bible in their face and show them a few scriptures about God’s great love if we don't take the time to show love ourselves. We have to show the love of God and the purity and holiness that accompanies it in word and in deed. We must uphold two great commandments: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. And Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself” (Mat 22). To be a Christian is to be like Christ. So we all must ask ourselves, “Am I a Christian?"
